Likoni

Likoni is the gateway between Mombasa Island and the South Coast, connected by the 24-hour Likoni Ferry across the channel separating the island from the mainland. As the first stop for anyone travelling south, it is a densely populated and culturally diverse area, home to communities from across Kenya.

For SCRA members, Likoni is the corridor through which most South Coast traffic, goods, and daily commuters pass — making ferry reliability and road connections here a shared concern for the whole coast.
